The Great Global Psychokinesic Experiment

The Great Global Psychokinesic Experiment is a proposed permanent interactive art exhibition and experiment, meant to change nothing less than the world's view about the paranormal concept of psychokinesis in either a positive or negative way.
People from all over the world are invited to test their psychokinesic strenght live or online by trying to move small, lightweight objects with the power of their mind only. The whole experiment will be permanently recorded.
The Great Global Psychokinesic Experiment is looking for a permanent exhibition place and some financial help.

Detailed description
The glass cube
The design is a cube, about 3 m in all directions, made of glass and steel. The cube is hermetically sealed from top to bottom and labeled in different languages on all 4 sides (Printed from inside on the glass). The design is deliberately kept simple and transparent, so that there is no place to hide anything.
Inside the cube
Inside will be nothing else than a square table out of glass, includings glass legs. Positioned on the table will be 9 interesting artistic objects, yet to be designed in detail, with two things in common: they are extremely light-weight and easily movable. Things similar in function to a compass, like for instance a parrot feather balanced on a golden needle. Engraved in the table will be a white outline of the object, a cross hair, a mandala or a yantra to indicate the original position or direction of each object.
Technical aspects
There is a video camera outside on the top which is connected via cable to a 24h recording device. The webcam will broadcast an online stream with 1 picture or more per second, depending on the costs.
Fraud free environment
All technical things like lightning system, camera or movement detectors will be positioned outside of the cube. The whole installation including the camera to recording device cable connection will be inspected by a notary and will be sealed by him. There will be a public invitation to serious organizations and TV-Stations to watch the notary during his work.
Serious experiment with fun factor
People from all over the world are invited to test their psychokinetic strength by trying to move one or more of the exhibited objects by mental strength only. This can not only be done live right in front of the cube, but even anonymously from anywhere in the world, while watching the live 24h webcam stream.
Never before done
In this way this installation will be different than all previous experiments, because almost every single person on this planet will have the ability to test his or her own mental abilities and can help to prove or disprove the existence of Psychokinesics in this global scientific art experiment.
Preparation for the »Impossible«
In case of a detected movement of one or more of the objects there should be a space reserved in the exhibition hall for a monitor-screen and a board next to the cube to display the dates and recordings of the Movement Events.

The idea
Concept, design and me
My name is Thomas Koertge, I am a designer, web-developer and painting artist from germany. I personally believe in concepts like Psychokinesics but I am also quite rational and sceptical at the same time.
The idea was conceived by me in a dream. Upon awakening I thought that this is a really interesting idea and I began to write down some first details. Then I googled for a while and found out that this seems to be a really new and unique idea, especially the idea to let everyone participate online in a psychokinesic experiment.
Now it's April 2011, I worked out a lot of details and started this website to get some feedback :-) , some funding and to find a suitable place for this installation.
About the cube form
A cube is a form with a perfect order. I also thought that the form of a pyramid would look nice, but with a cube a person can be physically a bit more close to the objects. Now, half a meter more or less shouldn't really make a difference, if there is such a thing as psychokinesics. But since I clearly saw a glass cube in my dream, I left it like this.
The exhibition place
Although I am neither a known artist or designer to the world, I believe that The Great Global Psychokinesic Experiment can and will be an enrichment to any world famous museum or institution. I hope it will be exhibited in a place where millions of visitors can see and contemplate about it, because it's all about the timeless quest if there is
»More than meets the eye«.
Final realization
If the project is funded and a suitable place found, the whole installation could be build and ready within 6 to 12 months.

The installation will cost probably up to 10,000 € if I had the time and knowledge to do it all by myself and probably quite a bit more when all the technical details are done in a professional way by a company.
This amount includes security glass, glass table, lighting system, fraud proof video recording and streaming installation, the streaming website, including some initial traffic, some travel costs, as well as me and other artists working out all the artistic and functional details of the movable objects.
